School is Cool

Hello Autumn! I've missed you so! It's been 6 months since my last post but I am back!!! Summer has been fun, but as always I look forward to autumn every year! Who doesn't like nice sunny cool days after months of HOTNESS...and not to mention there are TONS of new fall styles this season!

Random thought:Autumn brings back memories of my grade-school days when I waited excitedly for my mom to take me clothes shopping for the new school year and picture day (eekkk...hehehe)! I know what you're thinking....you were EXCITED too!!!! =P

.....Anyway.... Bold colors are back again, but let's start with something simple for my homecoming! ^_~

White 3/4" sleep top with gold necklace.
Top: H&M

I love this Madewell Skinny Skinny Ankle (black) demin! The fit is just perfect!  I always have to hem all of my pants/jeans, but I think these are just fine without alterations.

Black & white will never go out of style!
Accessorize with belt and (red) heels for an instant lift to your look (no pun intended =P)!
As mentioned above, BOLD colors are back! I love this orange tote! I generally try to stay in the same (warm) color scheme! Success?? =)
Make up: Again, I like to keep my look clean and simple! Less is always more! ;)

Well hello sexyyyy ladies (and gentlemen)! Hope you have been well and still enjoying life! It has been too long! Summer was fun and exciting with travels, events, and some changes in my personal life. All in all I am finally settled and at last I have time to resume my long overdue posts! I can't wait to share more fashion trends and make-up looks with you!!!

2012 is coming to an end, BUT there are so many EVENTS & PARTIES left before we enter a new chapter!!! Stay tune for party looks! Let's end the year with a BANG!!!
In the meantime, dress classy (not too sure about dance cheesy) =P!

It's good to be back! I miss you!!! ^_^

XOXO,
Kathy

COLOR ME PURPLE....., PINK, BLUE, and everything BOLD

Gray May is back, but COLORS are also back this season! I love pairing unexpected bright and BOLD colors this summer! These combinations are so unexpected, yet so fresh! Love, Love, Love!!! ^_^

Trying on new clothes and falling in love with these  colors!
 Pink & Peach combo.....
This satin pink shirt was a hit with another BOLD color
I couldn't resist this royal blue skirt. Loving the drape look that is feminine.

HOW ABOUT THESE COMBOS? ^_^

(Obviously these colors didn't come out the same as the above pictures)
I really like this pastel peach necklace: makes the outfit much more elegant
I like to pair bangles with my rose gold watch!
Balancing short shorts with feminine top

That's it for now! I can't wait to post more new trends, find new prints and colors to mix & match! I really like colors, especially bright ones! They make me happy! =)

More aside Gray May and June Gloom, these colors are here to stay for the summer! kekeke...^_^

XOXO,
Kathy

Life is ROSEY!!!

Hello everyone! It feels like it's been awhile since I updated this blog! But here is my new obsession: Colored-jeans (specifically pink)!!! <3 ^_^

Pink jeans: H&M
Belt w/ rhinestones : Express (old)
I've always loved the clean look and pairing white with any bright or bold color instantly can give that "crisp" look!
Of course no outfit is complete without accessories!
I choose white and "diamonds" (ok fine...rhinestones...hehehe) to be my focus! =)
White Rhinestone Watch: Fossil
Ring: H&M
Pair pink w/ RED heels for that extra "sexiness" =P
Not only would heels give you that extra boost, but the RED just adds "spice" to the look!
The complete look
Here is my make-up look: nothing dramatic, but.... I could not resist wearing my PURPLE contact lens! hehehehe....why not?! Keep it FUN! ^_^
Of course don't forget to accentuate your beautiful "eye color"with flattering eye shadows! =)

I can't believe it is the last weekend of February 2012 already!!!!! Where did the time go? I must admit, 2012 has been very KIND to me so far! I am very HAPPY and feel so BLESSED! I hope as you are reading this blog, you are in a good place and happy as well!

Remember, obstacles in our lives are there to challenge us and make us stronger! Take the challenge and embrace the good and bad that come with LIFE! As I have learned this week...."stay awhile"-whether in LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, or FAITH....good things are to come our way (sooner or later)!

Have a great weekend, take good care of yourself, and be kind to one another!!!

Much Love!

SUPER BOWL SUNDAY

I normally don't wear "pancho" tops because of its fit (loose and shapeless) but for some reason I gravitated toward this shirt when I saw it.

I ended up grabbing this top because of its relaxed fit....loL the irony! =P
The color itself was not very exciting, so what's a girl to do?!
Add a RED belt! Accessorize!!! :)

The belt accentuates the waist and gives you that feminine shape hidden behind this relaxed loose fit!
Of course, why only wear a RED belt?! Pair with matching capri pants and heels to complete the outfit!
Red is quite bright and FIERCE so keep jewelry to a minimum! :)
Simplicity never goes out of style!
This is my "lazy Sunday" outfit! Because of the beautiful Southern California weather, I had to take advantage and sneak in some colors!!! What is life w/o colors? =)

I hope you enjoyed your Super Bowl Sunday with your family and friends! Football isn't really my sport, but I'm a BIG fan of spending quality time with my friends--not to mention enjoy good food! hehheehe...

Until next time...SMILE and EMBRACE the beauty around you!!!!

XOXOXO,
Kathy

Sunday Shopping Spree

Southern California has been beautiful with weather in the 80's which puts me in the mood to shop as I am inspired by the bright beautiful day! (I am going to rub it in some more and share that my bestie and I sunbathed for awhile before hitting the outdoor mall)! =)

I was in such a HAPPY mood today that everything I grabbed was a "YES"! Good thing? Maybe...hehehhe. Here are some pieces that I found at my favorite store, H&M!!!

I love this little black dress! It was very structured and hugged the body well! The zipper right down the midline definitely made this dress!!!
I love this HOT PINK dress (which does not show up well here). It is simple and can be paired with pretty much anything (see later entries) =D
I fell in love with this dress because of its color (peach pink)! I am not too fond of the belt, but I can always replace it with one of my own! This spring, be on the outlook for nude and pastel colors!
SUNDAY SERVICE OUTFIT
It may be the old Catholic-schoolgirl in me, but I love dressing up for church!

Navy blue silk dress with gold over-sized tunic with braided belt
Dress: A|X
Shirt and accessories: H&M
Belt: F21

I love layering different textures on top of one another! So unpredictable yet so refreshing! LOVE!
I played up the look with more jewelries: bracelets, cuffs, and gold cocktail rings
Make-up: Only eye-liner and lip gloss
Simplicity is good when you're making a statement with your outfit! :)

This weekend has been WONDERFUL!!! The weather was warm and I'm feeling HAPPY! I spent quality time with friends and family! Speaking of my friends, one of my BFFs is getting married!!! YAY!!! I'm so happy for her!!! <3 =) (Sorry, I can't contain my happiness for the cute couple) ^_^

Anyway, I was asked to work on her wedding website, so that means...this BLOG may go unattended for some time, but I will be back to update on new looks when I get a chance!!!

Until next time: LOVE THE ONE YOU'RE WITH and SPEND EVERY MOMENT you can with the ones you love and those who love you! <3

xX,
Kathy

MUNCHIE TIME!!!!

FROM L.A. to O.C: LET'S EAT!!!!! ^_^

FOUR LEAF (Little Tokyo in LA)
This is a cute little dessert place that serves all types of crepes (Sweet and Savory)! The drink (tea) menu is pretty extensive! A good place to just enjoy something sweet that the day brings! :)

Japanese Explosion Crepe: Green tea ice-cream, red bean, mochi, and whipped cream
TRY IT!!!

Matcha Milk Tea: This was really good at first but a little too heavy and creamy after awhile (Lactose-intolerant-BEWARE!)
Pomegranate Tea: Sweet and refreshing! :)

Gindi Thai (Burbank, CA)
This is a Japanese and Thai fusion restaurant. My friend and I were here earlier last year--clearly this place was decent enough for us to return. The food is good (not superb) but a safe-bet when traffic in LA is too bad to get out of Burbank for food! I must say though, the service is great--very friendly servers! :)

Spider Roll

Appetizers: The Four Diplomats

Dipping sauces: Peanut sauce, Soy sauce, and Sweet/Sour Sauce

Rainbow Roll

Corea Kalbi (Newport Beach, CA)
Welcome to Corea! I was here for lunch and it was ....ok. Nothing I haven't had or anything that WOWed me although I heard it's known for its KBBQ! The service was great and the price was fair! I will return for dinner!

Bruxie Gourmet Waffle Sandwiches (Orange, CA)
Did someone say WAFFLE sandwiches??!! This is BY FAR my favorite sandwich eatery!!!! I do not need to say anymore! Just see the pictures below!!!! YUMMIE!!!!!!!

Strawberry Milk Shake

BBQ Pork Waffle Sandwhich!!! eeekkkKKkKk... DELICIOUS!!!

SAGE CAFE (Costa Mesa, CA)
Heard great reviews about this place, which is known for their chicken dishes! Unfortunately we came later in the day and everything was pretty much SOLD OUT (good sign....yes?)! Well, lucky for me I fought my 2 (guy) friends for the last chicken portion that later became my SESAME CHICKEN SALAD ....puhahahhhaah!!!! =P

Salami Sandwich (I'm not a fan of salami...so I passed) The salami actually was chunky and meaty (not the whimpy thin slices)
Sesame Chicken Salad: This was so good! The dressing definitely was different (sweet and tangy)! I loved the colorfulness of this salad! Makes me happy just by looking at it! hehehe

Meatloaf sandwich (A Wednesday Special): I heard this was pretty good! 1/2 the sandwich was pretty filling I heard, so go w/ half sandwich and half salad/soup!

TEBO TEBO Tea Lounge (Westminster, CA)
A fun place for "youngsters." It's loud! The food is cheap, quick, and decent. The drinks are delisshhh....but service lacks.....

Taco Asylum (Costa Mesa, CA)
This place is pretty darn good! This was my first time here with a couple of friends so we tried the "Flight of First 8" which included: Grilled octopus, Pork Belly, Short Ribs, Curried paneer, Wild Mushroom, Lamb, Duck, and Steak (from left to right). The verdict?? Pork belly and duck were our favorites! =D

PS. Watch out for these chili sauces!
Ghost Chili Pork and Falafel Tacos: I must say Falafel was my favorite! You may not like these if you don't like spices, but they definitely had a great KICK! (POWW!!!)  =P Yum!!!!
Ghost Chili Pork Taco: SPICY!
Falafel Taco: Pretty curry-ee(?)....the "taco" is actually naan! A plus!
